About this Event
A hackathon is a three-day event in which we bring together
clinicians, physicians, engineers, data scientists, designers and entrepreneurs
together to “hack”or quickly create disruptive solutions for pediatric healthcare.
Virtual Hackathons are the same,except they are conducted using video conferencing.
We invite you to participate in Valley Children's Pediatric Virtual Hackathon:
Rethinking Pediatric Healthcare: Innovations for our “New Normal.”
You'll join a multidisciplinary team and work together to solve problems you face every day.
The only requirement is that you bring your problem-solving spirit and an open mind.
Hackathon participants will start on Friday evening, listening to problem statements
pitched by their fellow participants, self-select into teams based on the problem they are most interested in solving, work through the weekend with their newly formed team to create a solution and pitch their solution to a panel of expert judges on Sunday who will award prizes to the top three teams. Cash prizes will be awarded. All teams will also have an opportunityto enter their solutions into the Innovation Lab's commercialization process.

on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, or are interested in working with fellow
problem solvers on solutions to problems we face in our "new normal',

Prize Levels
Winning teams will move forward into the Innovation Lab's incubation process - valued at up to $100K! Additionally, the winning teams will receive:
1st Place $1,000
2nd Place $750
3rd Place $500
Prior to the Hackathon, all participants who have completed their registration will recieve an email with more information about the Hackathon along with details for how to join us on Microsoft Teams for the event.
